Jupiter is a large happy boy. He came back to Homestretch with Strasser and is also feeling great now that he is free of many painful teeth. He enjoys lounging around the house and being close to his human companions. Adoption Pending

Al is currently looking for a family that has experience with seizures, as his meds are not quite stabilized, yet. He’s doing pretty well, but still has the occasion, small breakthrough head tremor. However, as his seizures have become very slight, he is now out with the general population. This makes Al a much happier monkey, but a monkey, none the less! He remains an opinionated, mouthy baby. (Wow, there’s a nice description that is bound to get him adopted!) On the other hand, Al is delightful, funny, affectionate, playful and acrobatic. In his mind he is the star of his own disco party and he’s happy to have everyone join in!!!

Eddie is a sweet, slinky wiggleworm of a pup. He’s very unsure of things at first, but super affectionate and happy once he’s comfortable in his home. He warms up more quickly with women than men and is not particularly fond of children. Actually, he’s afraid of them. So, he’s looking for an adult home or possibly one with teenagers. He is still very unsure of the world and will need lots of patience as he continues to learn how to navigate this new world. Adopted

Jackie was in a home previously, but returned to Homestretch, as she was having adjustment issues. What we’ve found is that she needs structure and rules. As with any smart girl, she will try to manipulate the situation to her advantage, if allowed to do so. Then she gets unhappy, because that’s not what she needs. Beginning to sound like a human child, isn’t she? Once the rules are established and maintained, Jackie minds very well and is a fabulous companion. She loves going places and even does well in crowds! Jackie is a great dog! Adoption Pending

Tunny’s a player! He’s active, happy (downright chipper) and really wants to please, mostly so you’ll pet him, I suspect. He’s confident, kind and quiet. Tunny is gorgeous and has a great, curly tail that is always over his back, like a scorpion! He’s bound to make someone a great companion. Tunny is very active for his age. He seems much more like a 2 yr. old, than a 4 yr. old.

Buddy is a mixed breed guy, mostly Doberman. He came to Homestretch in unbelievably bad condition. He is now up to weight and feeling much better. Buddy does have a tendency to get stressed and so takes doggie Prozac. He is much more relaxed and able to deal with the world, since being on his meds. He still needs a quiet home with someone who is dog savvy, but with the proper situation, should be able to settle down more as he matures. Buddy is extremely affectionate and tries his hardest to please. He takes training quickly and loves toys. He always wants to be touching his person and is very loyal.

Ryan is a gorgeous guy, but certainly doesn’t know it. He’s still insecure and quite shy with people he doesn’t know and new situations. He is still getting used to the idea of having enough food and does tend to guard it. He gets along fine with all of the other greyhounds in his foster home, but has difficulty if there is food in the vicinity. We hope he gets over this in time, but for now, it’s best if he goes to a home where he is an only dog. Ryan is super affectionate and wants nothing more than to be touched.

Kermit is a sweet, silly puppy. He’s learning the ropes in his foster home, but definitely has a puppy brain. A home with another dog who can mentor him would be ideal for this little monkey. He’s pretty gentle for a youngster and awfully good looking. Adopted

Gonzo is a new arrival. More information will be available after we get to know him. Kermit and Gonzo are brothers.
